I can be found working hard each school day with your child. My love for teaching came to me while I was a parent volunteer at Brier. Brier is the only school I have worked at. My first position here was teaching 1st grade. Over the years I have taught grades Kindergarten - Fourth. Now more than 16 years later I'm teaching your child in 2nd grade.
My husband and I live in the Brier attendance area. It is not unusual to see me walking Reece and Holly, my yellow and black labs, in the neighborhood before or afterschool. I love seeing students from Brier when I'm out on a walk. I'm sure many of them are surprised to see me walking in the neighborhood.
Both my boys went to Brier, as well as Walters and Kennedy. They have both finished college and are off establishing their own careers and raising their families. I have a granddaughter and another grandbaby on the way (due 9/1).
In our free time, my husband & I, along with Reece and Holly, love to go camping. Annual treks take us to the Mammoth Lakes area. I also love to run. I especially love 1/2 marathon trail running. Several weekends a month I am off running or volunteering at a foot race somewhere in the Bay Area. This year my goal is to complete the Beach Cities Series, running either a 1/2 or full marathon in three different races in Southern California.
In addition to Reece and Holly, my dogs, I have 2 cats named Sassy & Smokey. It's never a dull moment at my house with all these pets, especially when one pet is blind.
